Last Friday, the DOF and I departed for the East Coast to visit family an enjoy our annual trip to our island in Maine. Since we touched down, I have been on a whirlwind tour of the upper half of the eastern seaboard….and have eaten everything from amazing kosher deli to an Irish eggs benedict. I have been from Massachusetts to Connecticut to New York, and back all the way to Maine.
I’ve spent so much time in the car and staying up late cackling with old friends, that I haven’t had time to share any of what we’ve done so far….but here’s a little glimpse. Once we get to the island tomorrow, I’ll have more time to go into detail and share some of the culinary (and other) highlights of our trip thus far.
An old hometown of mine: Washington, Connecticut

Gloucester, Massachusetts

Whipple House Ipswich, Massachusetts

Finally!….we’ve arrived in Portland

Glad you made it back east. Trouble back in WI, seems the Weiner Mobile crashed into a house, luckily no one was hurt. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090718/ap_on_fe_st/us_odd_wienermobile_wreck
